The spiraled or creeping contact is that component in the car placed below the wheel that allows the contacts placed on the front to get to the back and not to be in interference with the part of the wheel. Another function is to bring the contacts of the levers (fares, direction indicators) and the cruise control to the reference connector without interference from the rotation of the steering wheel.
When this component fails, the first anomaly is the ignition of the Airbag spy or the problem of the clacson that does not work or still a malfunction at the controls of the cruise/autoradio (if present at the wheel).
This overall usually incorporates (separate part) also the steering angle sensor, component this hardly damaging (if broken the ESP anti-slip indicator light is turned on) then for repair it is appropriate to buy only the spiraled contact, and then to assimilate it with the steering angle recovered from our old spiral.
